8th year is my listing of events, conferences, innovation forums and pitch presentations related to – AgeTech – where technology intersects with ageing and longevity, with diverse product and service applications related to the health and social well-being of all of us as we age.

AARP AgeTech Collaborative – CES 2026

Jan. 6-9                  Las Vegas, USA

The AARP AgeTech Collaborative kicks off its 4th year 2026 as a major segment of the annual CES in Las Vegas which is targeted towards an investor, innovation start up, industry leader audience. This four-day event has a snappy offering of short 30-minute sessions that serve almost as a starter lesson for anyone new to AgeTech.

AARP AgeTech Collaborative – On-Line Pitch Competitions 2026

For rest of the year AARP AgeTech Collaborative continues with their On-line Open Mic Pitch Challenge – a series of 8 starting Feb.26 followed by March 26th. Start-ups can apply for these pitch presentations that address “financial resiliency, healthcare, social engagement, accessibility, caregiving, or other areas in the longevity category.”

Stanford Center on Longevity Design Challenge Awards Event

April 9                        Stanford University, California

2025/26 Theme – Prevention by Design: Creating Healthy Lifestyles for Long Lives

Following this Design Challenge since 2013, in part, this year Stanford suggests that student teams consider a design solution that “emphasizes the role of lifestyle factors such as sleep, nutrition, physical activity, stress management, and social relationships in improving long-term well-being.” Names of finalists will be announced on Jan. 21st and I will write more posts on the outcomes of this event and picking my top three choices before the finals on April 9th.

Innovation Transforming Aged Care (ITAC) – Ageing Australia

May 6 -7                      Brisbane, Australia

In collaboration with the Global Ageing NetworkITAC 2026 connects leaders in the technology and ageing sectors to explore how innovation and digital solutions are driving better outcomes for older Australians. Details of the agenda and speakers to be announced soon.

International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies for Ageing Well and e-Health (ICT4AWE)

May 20 -22                  Benidorm, Spain

For the 12th Annual Conference the themes are Aging Well, Social & Human Sciences PerspectiveTelemedicine & Independent Living and Digital health. This event serves as “a meeting point for those that study age and health-related quality of life and apply information and communication technologies for helping people stay healthier, more independent and active at work or in their community”.

What’s Next Longevity Venture Summit 

June                San Francisco, California

At this time, actual June dates for 2026 are yet to be announced which is a little slow off the mark for this group. In its 23rd year, produced by Mary Furlong & Associates, this huge event attracts entrepreneurs, investors, thought leaders, analysts, media, and innovators, to help advance businesses and to network with experts in the longevity economy. AgeTech is a key component of that economy and this year the co-host is sponsored the AARP AgeTech Collaborative.

ITAP 12th Annual Conference – Human Aspects, of IT for the Aged Population

July 26 – 31                Montreal, Canada     

ITAP is an offshoot of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) 

With a focus on the human aspects of how IT can serve an older population this international event invites researchers and practitioners “to exchange research contributions on older people’s abilities and competencies, needs and requirements & attitudes and behavioral patterns in relation to IT use… and to innovative ideas, practices, and experiences related to the design, operation, and evaluation of IT applications, systems, and services for older people.”

Examples of topics areas under 8 themes areas include: AI-driven smart services for older adults, online social interaction and social networking, Smart homes and the IoT, acceptance and use of FinTech among older adults and Internet fraud and scams against older adults.

AgeTechX

Fall 2026                     Berlin, Germany

Entering the arena in October 2025, this is a yet to be dated (likely Fall 2026), European AgeTech event largely attracting start-up entrepreneurs and venture capital funders but also a small group of research academics & policy and healthcare leaders.
