It’s Time for Recoding a Longevity Society. Here’s Why.

If we assume the promise of greater longevity will follow us well into the future, we can also expect that the society we get will be affected by changes shaped by the contributions from all generations, across all ages – in a global narrative – with multiple plot lines, social, political, economic, scientific and technological.

Societal constructs and systems built from the 20th century, related to areas such as public pensions, health care, urban planning and the 3-chunk life model of education, work and retirement are already undergoing a re-write.

An evolution, if not a possible revolution, in our way of living will foster a new set of goals, policies, structures, and attitudes in a new dialogue; shaking off the language of the past – actually Recoding a Longevity Society.
