As in 2018, Change Rangers is once again a Conference Partner for IFA 2021the International Federation on Ageing 15th Global Conference on Ageing; and I eagerly anticipate my first day of three starting tomorrow Nov.10th. This got me thinking about how, over the last two years, I have attended a steady stream of on-line events in the field of aging and longevity, which has been enormously enlightening while simultaneously strengthened my networks.
Three themes this year – Rethinking Care, The Intergenerational Compact and Reinventing the Second Half of Life. Once again this US based event showcasesleaders presenting their current visions on how society can restructure work, reorganize cities, enhance lifelong learning, create new financial security and promote greater health and vitality in an age of longevity.
While much of this longevity focus has been an ongoing conversation for a number of years, for me as I am sure it has for many others in the so called developed world, the impact of the global pandemic has shifted viewpoints within the three themes mentioned above. It might be worth a look at the commentary – Envisioning a New Map of Life on the Stanford Center on Longevity website before you consider signing up for this event.
