Biography
Mark Venning founded Change Rangers "The Leading Voice on Career Longevity" in 1996. The focus of service for organizations is research, seminars and strategy planning related to career & talent development, longevity issues and "re-working retirement". He also coaches individual business professionals in their exploration of later life career options with a focus on entrepreneurship, serving as a resource for business planning and personal marketing for contracting & consulting.
From 2004 to 2007, Mark held a career services industry role as International President for the Association of Career Professionals International (ACP International). In June 2008, he became President on the Board of Directors for Contact Point, a website for Canadian career practitioners and sits on the not-for-profit Board of the Canadian Education & Research Institute for Counselling (CERIC) . Mark is also a member of the Retirement Planning Association of Canada (RPAC).
On the Board of Directors for Jewish Vocational Services (JVS) in Toronto from 2002 - 2004, Mark chaired the Program Advisory, contributing a global perspective on issues related to career services.
Mark is a Career Management Fellow (CMF) with the International Institute for Career Certification (ICC International). For four years, he was a panelist for the federal government’s Self Employment Benefit (OSEB) program through YMCA Toronto and since Fall 2008 is an instructor at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies. In addition Mark served on the MBA Mentorship Program at the Rotman School of Business.
Prior to 1996, Mark worked extensively in the retail industry in a variety of management roles - operations, buying, manufacturing, sales & marketing. He has direct experience in the hiring, training and coaching process, and earned a strong reputation as an enthusiastic leader.
